Archie Rose X Horisumi – Summer is the fourth and final gin in our collaborative series with Japanese tattoo artist Kian Forreal (Horisumi).
Horisumi – Summer is an aromatic, playful gin and one of the most vibrant and refreshing in the series, displaying all we love about the Australian summer. It’s alluringly sweet thanks to white peach, with a bright hit of floral citrus from the peel of Australian-grown yuzu and mandarin. Finally, there’s a sticky marmalade flavour courtesy of kumquat, with a warming undertone of dried ginger.
The Horisumi – Summer label has been hand-illustrated by Horisumi himself. A vibrant peony represents wealth, good fortune and bravery in Japan, while the snake, or “hebi”, is a creature that when seen in white is embraced as a good omen.
To serve, top it with East Imperial Tonic Water and a slice of fresh summer mango and there you have it – the perfect drink for balmy nights.
Note: As with previous Horisumi releases, the first 200 bottles sold will be hand-wrapped in the last of our special-edition Furoshiki, which come detailed with an individual bottle number and summer Kanji.
UPDATE : The full 3000 bottles of this limited edition gin sold out on pre-sale just hours after it was released! What an amazing response! Well done if you were lucky enough to score a bottle. If you did miss out, Archie Rose will be releasing their full list of stockists around the country. You will be able to get them from Vintage Cellars, some select independent bottle shops, and also direct from the Archie Rose bar! Thank you to everyone for your support!
